Minimalism is not always easy. Sometimes there are stuggles of being a minimalist, and we experience minimalism difficulties. Just like with anything that is worthwhile, there are also some challenges we can overcome. But if we do, minimalism and intentional living are SO worth it. And you don’t need to try to move towards extreme minimalism if you don’t want to, you can keep it at any level that you’re comfortable with.
Here are 5 things about living a minimalist lifestyle that I find difficult at times. And of course also how I deal with them.
I think it’s important to also talk about the challenges of minimalism. Because if we pretend like it’s super easy, then people who want to know how to be a minimalist might feel like they are doing something wrong in the early stages of minimalism and decluttering, or like they are the only one facing these challenges. And that is certainly not the case. In my humble opinion, there’s no such thing as a perfect minimalist house, minimalist home or minimalist closet. Simple living means making it easier for ourselves, not more difficult by striving for perfection.
Some of the things I talk about in this video have to do with sentimental items, identity items, having people over and taking minimalism too far. I’m curious what your experiences with minimalism are, and if you have any minimalism tips to share with the rest of us. So make sure to leave a comment and tell me!
Lots of love,
