Today I’m talking about 15 things that I no longer buy or spend lots of money on, since adopting a simple, minimalist lifestyle. Decluttering is great of course, but it also nudges you into thinking more about the things you bring into your home and your life. These are some of the things I’ve come to be more mindful about.
I guess these things I no longer buy were not so much ‘resolutions’ that I set for myself. I didn’t say to myself one day: “I’m not going to buy that anymore”. They are more like patterns or habits, things that formed themselves naturally. That’s why I can also honestly say that I don’t miss buying them one bit. I love living simply, and feeling grateful for all the wonderful things I already have. And this automatically makes me want less, because I don’t feel like buying more stuff will make my life any better than it already is.
I’d love to hear about how you simplify your life. Share your thoughts about minimalism and the things you no longer buy in the comments section!
